4 Weight Loss Mistakes

If you're not seeing the scale move in the right direction, despite your efforts to eat well and be more active, you might be overlooking these 4 common weight loss mistakes.

Food:
Healthy foods are not necessarily lower in calories. Olive oil is better for you than butter, for example, but has just as many calories. Skipping meals and "guesstimating" calorie intake are other common errors.

Exercise:
Most people tend to overestimate how many calories they've burned during exercise and underestimate how many calories they've eaten.

Behavior:
Lack of sleep, too much stress, or not being consistent with your diet and exercise can all add up to unwanted weight gain.

Biology:
Certain medications and medical conditions are associated with weight gain. Check with your doctor if you suspect this may be the case.
